Salute to RNs Scholarship

The W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing and Health Professions has long understood the importance of supporting nurses in their professional development.

Because there is a positive correlation between patient outcomes and nurse education, we are committed to eliminating the barriers of cost and time for RN-BSN program students in completing their education and becoming the next generation of nurse leaders. In keeping with this commitment, we are providing you with an opportunity to apply for the Salute to RNs Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must meet the following:

• Academic Level: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) student
• Enrollment Status: Admitted

Award Criteria:

• Meet all eligibility criteria described.
• Compose a brief essay. In 200 words or less, please explain why you believe you should be the recipient of the Salute to Nursing Scholarship.
• All new and continuing students are eligible upon successful completion of scholarship application.

Selected candidates will receive a per-credit tuition reduction of $108 for in-state students and $234 for out-of-state students. Salute to RN scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis throughout the academic year.

The availability of this scholarship is subject to available funding. While we cannot guarantee that all applicants will be selected to receive the scholarship, all applicants will be considered.
