Charlotte Newcombe Foundation Scholarship

The Charlotte Newcombe Foundation provides scholarships in partnership with select colleges and universities that welcome and enroll mature students aged 25 years or older without regard to gender identity. The primary intention of the Newcombe Foundation’s scholarship program is to support undergraduate students taking courses leading to their first bachelor’s degree.
Eligibility and Award Criteria: To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Academic Level: Undergraduate
  • Enrollment Status: Enrolled
  • Type of degree/certificate: Any undergraduate degree
  • Other Criteria:
    • Age: 25 years or older
    • Completed at least 60 credit hours toward degree
    • 3.0 GPA or higher
    • Demonstrated financial need
  • Submit a completed Thomas Edison State University Scholarship Application and any required supplemental documentation before the end of the application period.

When are Scholarships Offered Next?

2023 Winter Award Period
(Only available for students in the Accelerated BSN program, incarcerated students and students with disabilities)
Application Period: Dec. 9, 2022 – Jan. 9, 2023

2023 Summer Award Period
Application Period: June 1 – July 11
