Looking for OAPWL and APR? You’re in the right place.
TESU’s Office for Assessment of Professional and Workplace Learning (OAPWL) has changed its name to the Office of Professional Learning Review (OPLR), and our Academic Program Reviews (APRs) are now called Professional Learning Reviews (PLRs).

The Office of Professional Learning Review

The mission of the Office of Professional Learning Review (OPLR) is to expand access to higher education for adult learners by creating a pathway from workplace training and professional credentials to a college education.

OPLR assesses prior learning on a programmatic rather than individual basis by overseeing formal evaluations of courses, licenses, certifications, apprenticeships and exams offered by corporations, government agencies, labor unions, and professional associations. These evaluations, known as Professional Learning Review (PLR), are performed by subject matter experts who determine whether there is college-level learning equivalent to courses taught at regionally accredited institutions of higher education. Students who successfully complete an assessed course, training program or credential may then be awarded University course credit.
