Thomas Edison Plans MLK Tribute Event

Each year Thomas Edison State University invites a Martin Luther King Jr. Day speaker to engage the University community, not just around Dr. King, but also on the broader aspects of his legacy.

This year the University’s Annual Tribute to MLK event will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. in Prudence Hall at the Kelsey Complex, 111 W. State St. Trenton. The public is invited to attend in person or join our YouTube livestream.

The speaker this year is Jeannine LaRue, senior vice president at Kaufman Zita Group, and experienced lobbyist, social media consultant, public affairs executive and policy strategist. LaRue will share the art of peaceful/purposeful protests, the many faces and stories of fights for equality and inclusion, and the ongoing inspiration to fuel our own journeys and drive change as it relates to Dr. Kings’ legacy.
