Thomas Edison State University (TESU) has teamed up with all 18 New Jersey community colleges to offer you the opportunity to transfer in up to 90 community college credits and complete your bachelor’s degree online in more than 50 programs of study.
At TESU, you can complete your 4th and final year (30 credits) through TESU’s completely online courses, challenge courses through prior learning assessment (PLA), and transfer in previously earned credits from other regionally accredited institutions. TESU terms begin every month and courses typically run for 12 weeks.
In addition, TESU is providing an automatic application fee waiver and guaranteed admission to TESU for all New Jersey community college graduates as well as locking our students into a TESU catalog year, at the time of application, which will afford them up to three years to complete the remaining 30 credits at a New Jersey community college.

What’s more, if you are using financial aid, the new partnership between New Jersey community colleges and TESU has you covered through our joint financial aid agreement, allowing you to continue using your financial aid toward the program.

Application Instructions: To ensure you are applying as part of TESU/NJ 3+1 Pathways Program, you will be asked to identify your partner affiliation. Step five of the application will ask, "If you are affiliated with one of the partners below, please select it from the list below" Select "TESU/NJ 3+1 Pathways Program" from the drop down menu.
