MAEdL Area of Study in School Business Administration

School Business Administration is a 36-credit program that prepares graduates to earn school business administrator endorsement.

This degree provides a curriculum that encompasses the academic and professional areas of business and management while meeting the academic requirements for the New Jersey Department of Education administrative certification with the endorsement of School Business Administrator. Before qualifying for the School Business Administrator endorsement in New Jersey, candidates must satisfy additional requirements include completing a 150 hour internship in educational leadership at the district level with the School Business Administrator or Superintendent. For more information on these and other requirements, please refer to State of New Jersey website. The program utilizes existing courses within both the School of Business and Management and the Heavin School of Arts and Sciences Educational Leadership Program.

The School Business Administration (SBA) graduate program at Thomas Edison State University enables you to earn a MAEdL degree that prepares you for positions managing the business policies, and district program budgets of school organizations.
