Our 120-credit online course equips you with the skills needed to tackle such careers as technical supervisors responsible for mechanical and electrical operations; clinical supervisors responsible for radiation protection, radiation therapy, and medical imaging; and technologists responsible for troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and programmable logic interfaces. 18 of your Area of Study credits must be from 3000/4000 level courses.

Program Details

Degree Requirements


The following courses are required for the BS degree with an area of study in Technical Studies and can be fulfilled in either the General Education or Electives sections of the degree chart.

  • Computer Concepts (3 credits)
  • Statistics (3 credits)
  • College Algebra (3 credits)
  • Higher Level Math above College Algebra (3 credits)
  • General Chemistry I with Lab or Physics I with Lab (4 credits)
  • General Chemistry I with Lab or Physics II with Lab (4 credits)

How Students Earn Credit in the Area of Study: Students may earn credits by selected licenses, certifications, related military or industrial training, transfer credits, Thomas Edison State University courses or Prior Learning Assessment (PLA).

Note: Courses listed in the Area of Study are offered as a guide. Other courses may also be considered appropriate for the program. The inclusion of similar courses must be reviewed by the Evaluation team. Students must submit their program plan for review to ensure that course selection is appropriate for the degree.
