Health Studies
Empower yourself to create the health behavior changes you want to see. Healthcare is rapidly changing and there is a critical need today for professionals with a broad knowledge of healthcare and service-related areas. The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Studies from Thomas Edison State University is a 120-credit online degree program designed to expand your education and prepare you for a wide range of rewarding nonclinical careers in the healthcare industry.
Our Health Studies track can be a stepping stone to apply to our Accelerated BSN Program. It is also a transfer-friendly option if you earned an associate degree and an ideal pathway if you completed the AAS degree with an area of study in Applied Health Studies. The AAS and BS degree programs offer college credits for various healthcare credentials, licenses and certifications. This 120-credit track is designed for students interested in obtaining a bachelor’s degree in the health professions as well as those interested in admission to the Accelerated BSN Program.
Students obtaining their bachelor’s degree in health professions must complete:
- General Education Requirements
- Area of Study: Health Studies
- Electives/License Credit/Concentration
Students applying for admission to the Accelerated BSN Program must complete:
- General Education Requirements
The general education requirements fulfill the prerequisite courses for the Accelerated BSN Program. Once the general education requirements have been completed, students can finish the BSNA application process. Learn more about the application process for the Accelerated BSN Program.
