Radiation Therapy

With the number of cancer diagnoses on the rise in the United States, skilled and caring radiation therapists are in demand and can help make a difference in patient care. The Associate in Science (AS) degree in Radiation Therapy from Thomas Edison State University (TESU) is limited to certified, licensed radiation therapy technologists. Our 60-credit program will help put you on the path to meet your educational and professional needs through credit transfer and course completion. Once complete, you can easily transition to the Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Technology degree program at TESU.

Degree Requirements Credits
The following courses are required for the AS degree program with an area of study in Radiation Therapy and can be fulfilled in either the General Education or Electives sections of the degree chart. 11
  • College Algebra
  • Physics I with Lab
  • Physics II with Lab
  • Certification: ARR-RT (T) and NJ LR (T) (copy of original certification and current renewal card)
  • How Students Earn Credit in the Option: The certification covers almost all of the credits required in the option
