Dr. Filomela A. Marshall has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare field, predominantly in nursing education with expertise in curriculum development. She was appointed Dean, W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing at Thomas Edison State University in July 2010. In this role, she is responsible for, and provides leadership to, all undergraduate, graduate degree and certificate nursing programs. She manages a staff of 19 employees, the enrollment of over 1,500 students, and 165 contracted mentors. Dr. Marshall is also responsible for the ongoing accreditation, licensure, and regulatory compliance of all nursing programs. She has been successful in securing community partnerships and increasing grants, scholarship aid and financial support for the School. She received her BSN at Lehman College (CUNY), an MSN from the University of Pennsylvania in community health nursing, and an EdD in curriculum theory and development from Temple University.

Dr. Ana Maria Catanzaro is the Associate Dean of Graduate Nursing Programs at the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing. She is responsible for all the MSN and DNP nursing programs and graduate nursing certificate programs. Dr. Catanzaro has been a registered nurse since 1978 and a nurse educator since 1993. Prior to coming to Thomas Edison State University, Dr. Catanzaro served as Associate Professor and Director of the La Salle Neighborhood Nursing Center at La Salle University, Professor and MSN Chair at Holy Family University, and Dean of the School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions at Holy Family University. Dr. Catanzaro earned an Associate of Science in Nursing at Northern Virginia Community College, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing/Public Health Nursing at La Salle University, Master of Arts in Religious Studies with a moral theology concentration at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, and a PhD at The Catholic University of America. After completing doctoral studies, Dr. Catanzaro completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in spirituality and health at Duke University's Center for Aging and Human Development and a Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Research with a focus on biostatistics at Duke University.

Maureen Clark-Gallagher is the Assistant Dean/Director of Distance Learning at the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing. She received her basic and advanced nursing education in the State of New York at Pace University. She has practiced nursing in the states of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. Her background is medical/surgical nursing (staff and management), instructor at schools of nursing, nurse educator, Divisional Director of Clinical Education/School of Nursing, Magnet Project Director, Clinical Education Advisor, Associate Director/Occupational Health Nurse/Case Manager of a medical department. She was also a mentor for the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing for eight years. She has been ANCC certified as a clinical nurse specialist in adult health.

She is an active member of the Upsilon Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Thomas Edison State University W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing Chapter) since its inception and a career long member of the American Nurses Association among other professional nursing organizations.

Julie Kulak is assistant dean of undergraduate programs at the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing. She is responsible for coordinating all class and clinical resources for the Accelerated 2nd Degree BSN Program. In her 35 years in nursing education, she has taught nursing at Capital Health System, Aria Health System, Thomas Jefferson University, and Pennsylvania State University. Her initial nursing education was at Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia, followed by a bachelor's degree at Holy Family College in Philadelphia and a master's degree at Villanova University. During her education at Villanova, she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.

Julie is board certified in Medical Surgical Nursing and is certified as a nurse educator through the National League for Nursing. In 2010, she was the recipient of the New Jersey State Nursing Students Faculty Award.

Vicki Brzoza is the BSNA/BSN Program Advisor at the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing. She received her bachelor of science in nursing from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA and her Master of Science degree in Nursing Education from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She is board certified by the ANCC in Critical-Care Nursing, with a background in critical care and nursing education. Vicki was a nursing instructor for the BSNA program at Thomas Edison State University. In her spare time, she teaches BLS and ACLS classes. Vicki is currently enrolled in a doctorate program, and with a lot of hard work and a lot of luck will finish in 2020. She is an active member of the Upsilon Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing where she is the Program Chair and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of American Association of Critical-Care Nurses where she is the Education Chair. She is also a member of the New Jersey State Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. She has presented her work at national conferences.

Maggie Ciocco is a Nursing Program Advisor for the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Seton Hall University and a Master of Science degree from Syracuse University in Adult Primary Health, Maggie is an experienced nurse educator in both staff development and associate degree programs, working in both clinical and nursing lab settings. She is board certified by the ANCC in Medical-Surgical nursing and is an author with two published works in nursing – one on Medical Surgical Nursing Orientation and the other on Preceptorship in Nursing. Her new book on bullying in nursing is due for publication in later 2016. She is a past member of Sigma Theta Tau – Lambda Delta Chapter, to which she was inducted in 1996 as a Community Leader and from where she received the Hannelore Sweetwood Mentor of the Year award in 2012. She is currently the Publicity Chair for the Upsilon Rho chapter of Sigma Theta Tau at Thomas Edison State University. She is also a member of the National League for Nursing.

Carol Emmi is a Graduate Student Advisor for the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing. Prior to joining Thomas Edison State University, she served as Nursing Clinical Coordinator at Gwynedd Mercy University School of Nursing Accelerated BSN program, Nursing Clinical Coordinator and Clinical Faculty at Holy Family University School of Nursing traditional and accelerated BSN programs and faculty at Chester County School of Nursing. She has worked as a pediatric nurse in the role of staff and management. Emmi earned her BSN at Thomas Jefferson University, her MSN-Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, and is certified in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Emmi presents on the topic of Autism Spectrum Disorders to undergraduate BSN students and is a member of the Society of Pediatric Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International, Upsilon Rho Chapter.

Holly MacDonald joined the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing staff in 2015 as a Recruitment Liaison. Holly earned a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Georgian Court University. Holly’s experience comes from her work as a case manager providing support and advice to children and families, while working with community and state organizations to promote a healthy and productive partnership. Holly is actively involved in her community and continues to serve as a volunteer for civic and school organizations. In addition to student service, she is responsible for recruitment management.
