Video creation and sharing has quickly become an important part in the course development process at Thomas Edison State University. For example, you may find an embedded video in your course that elaborates on a specific concept being covered. These are called custom course content videos. We have also worked hard to grow our library of instructional videos to help guide you through the many functions of Moodle (our learning management system) as well as other technology tools such as G Suite.
Edison Create is the hub for all videos created here at the University. The Edison Create site houses instructional, demonstrational and promotional videos, all of which are public and can be accessed by any visitor to the site. You, as a student, can access any videos you create by logging into the site using your TESU account.
Under the “Student Support” tab on the Edison Create homepage, you can find helpful videos related to accounts and general support, Moodle and courses, video tools and G Suite.
You may also want to take a look at our course trailers under the “University Resources” tab.
Course Trailers: Brief videos that provide a taste of certain courses. (Think of movie trailers!) Our course trailers are designed to help you throughout the registration process as you decide which courses would be best for you.
Accounts and General Support: Videos that provide a step-by-step look at how a program, technology or process works.
Moodle and Courses, Video Tools and Google Suit: Videos that provide a step-by-step look at how our learning tools work.
My Media and Editing Tools (TESU login required): The place for videos created by students using CaptureSpace or uploaded to Edison Create. These videos are saved into both “My Media” in Moodle and on Edison Create. In both places you have the option to view, edit or delete your videos. They are available only to you until you post them in one of your courses
