Center for Prior Learning Credit Discovery
Thomas Edison State University (TESU) awards Credit for Prior Learning to prospective and current students at scale not typically seen in higher education.
These types of credits include Professional Learning Review (PLR) which is TESU’s own evaluation of non-collegiate training for credit, American Council on Education (ACE) recommended credit, CLEP, DANTES, AP Credit and much more. 57% of all TESU students earn Credit for Prior Learning.
TESU offers so many opportunities to earn Credit for Prior Learning that it can be overwhelming. Industries that we have evaluated CPL awards include but are not limited to:

To support you during your educational journey, TESU staffs the Center for Prior Learning Credit Discovery to help you ensure you receive the maximum amount of CPL you are eligible to receive.

- ACE Transcripts
- CLEP Exam Results

Once you submit this information, a CPL Advisor will review the content and schedule a time to meet with you to review the information provided. Additional documentation may be required to provide you with a complete picture of your expected CPL award.
