Getting Started

Creating an account with Online Student Services

First, you need to set up an account with Online Student Services (OSS).

  1. Access Online Student Services.
  2. Establish your USER ID by clicking the link, “I’m New to Online Student Services.”
  3. Input your last name and either your social security number or your University ID number.
  4. Select the email address that you would like your temporary password sent to.
  5. A temporary password will be emailed to you.
  6. From the menu at the top of the page, click “Log In.”
  7. You will be prompted to change to a permanent password upon your first log in.
  8. Once you have accessed Online Student Services (OSS), click on the blue rectangular bar that is labeled “Student” to view your account information.
  9. Once you have established your student account with Online Student Services (OSS), you will have access to myEdison®.

Accessing Your Academic Evaluation

Next, follow the instructions below to access and download your Academic Evaluation.

  1. Access Online Student Services.
  2. Click the “Log In” button at the top of the page on the right.
  3. Log in using your User ID (first name. last name) and your password and click “Submit.”
  4. Click the blue bar at the top that says “Students Click Here.”
  5. Click the blue bar that says “Academic Profile.”
  6. Click the link that says “Academic Evaluation.”
  7. Select your program at the top of the page on the left and submit.
  8. Download and print your Academic Evaluation.
  9. Review your Academic Evaluation.

Making a Nursing Advising Appointment

Finally, below are the instructions for scheduling an advising appointment.

  1. From the University home page, click the myEdison® at the upper right hand corner.
  2. Log in to the portal using your user ID and password.
  3. In the middle section of the portal, you will see a maroon bar that says “MY Resources” and another that says “Tools and Forms.”
  4. Under “Tools and Forms” click the link “Make an Advising Appointment.”
  5. Follow the instructions for making an advising appointment.
  6. Be sure to select Graduate Nursing and the advisor who contacted you when you were admitted to the MSN program. This is your assigned advisor.
