This Privacy Policy documents the information that Thomas Edison State University collects for internal use for operating our sites, providing personalized content, and performing analytics and advertising activities. The information we collect is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.

The University generally collects information via two ways, (1) when you voluntarily provide it to us, and (2) automatically when you visit or use our Sites.

For each visitor to our Web page, we only collect only the domain name, but not the email address of visitors, and aggregate information on what pages visitors access or visit. With respect to cookies and other technologies: The University websites, Google Analytics, and selected third-party online advertising networks store small fragments of text, called “cookies,” in a visitor’s web browsers with limited information such as how the visitor was directed to the websites, which advertisement was displayed to the visitor, whether the visitor has submitted a form, or how recently the visitor last accessed university websites.

Prospective students who supply us with their email addresses online may receive email contact from us with information regarding the University’s programs and course delivery methods. Alternately, prospective students may opt-out of email communications by completing this form: Admissions - Unsubscribe - Google Forms.

Prospective students who supply us with their telephone numbers online may receive telephone contact from us with information regarding the University’s programs and course delivery methods. If you do not wish to receive such telephone calls or text messages, please let us know by contacting us by email, phone or postal mail at the contact information above. Alternately, prospective students may opt-out of text communications by replying STOP to a Thomas Edison text message.

If you are a prospective student and supply us with your postal address online, you may receive periodic mailings from us with information about the University, its programs and course delivery methods. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please let us know by contacting us by email, phone or postal mail at the contact information above.

Thomas Edison State University does not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies nor does Thomas Edison partner with any online program management (OPM) organizations for recruitment or enrollment services.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change in the future, the policy changes will be posted to our Web site to notify you of these changes.

With respect to security: Thomas Edison State University always uses industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged with our sites. When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information, such as financial or health information, we redirect users to a secure server. Thomas Edison State University utilizes current security technologies within our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our sites.
