Parking in Trenton

Students and visitors to Thomas Edison State University have a variety of parking options.  There are several paid parking options near Thomas Edison State University in downtown Trenton, including the State Street Square Parking Garage and the Trenton Marriott Garage.

Two paid parking garages located close to Thomas Edison State University are:

• The State Street Square Parking Garage, located on Chancery Lane between West State Street and West Hanover Street. From the University, proceed east on West State Street (across the Barrack Street/N. Willow Street intersection) and make the first left onto Chancery Lane. The parking garage will be on your left. If the garage is full, proceed down Chancery Lane to the stop sign and make a left onto West Hanover Street.  Then, make the first right onto Barnes Street. There is a paid parking lot on the right. 
   
• The Trenton Marriott Parking Garage, located at the corner of S. Warren Street and W. Lafayette Street. From the University on West State Street, make a right onto Barrack Street. Follow Barrack to the end (you will see the War Memorial) and make a left onto Lafayette Street. Follow Lafayette Street past the entrance to the hotel to the traffic light. Make a right at the light onto S. Warren Street. The entrance to the parking garage is located on your right.  For more detailed directions and information about the garage, call (609) 421-4000.

For Students Visiting the University on Saturdays

Most paid parking lots in downtown Trenton are usually not open on Saturdays. If you are visiting the University on a Saturday for testing or other course-related purposes, please use State Parking Area 31A. To get to State Parking Area 31A from Willow Street, make a right at the traffic light located at the intersection of N. Willow St. and W. Hanover St. Make a right onto W. Hanover St. State Parking Area 31A is the first parking lot located on your right, at the intersection of North Willow and West Hanover streets. There is a small white State of New Jersey sign identifying the parking lot.

State House Complex Parking - Parking Garage

State agencies renting conference rooms at Thomas Edison State University are authorized to park in the State House Parking Garage with advance notification to the Office of Facilities and Operations and subject to appropriate identification and space availability.

Handicap Parking

Handicapped parking spots are located along West State Street and Willow Street. In the event that a handicapped spot is not open, the City of Trenton allows parking at any meter for free as long as a handicapped tag or sticker is visible.
