Questions for Reflection

MSN e-Portfolio Questions for Reflection

The following questions were developed to guide you in reflecting on your experiences as a graduate nursing student and in writing your reflective narratives for your e-Portfolio. The questions are not intended to be answered individually or for any specific outcome or competency. They are intended to help you think and reflect on what you have accomplished during your MSN studies.

  2. What core of knowledge and skills are necessary for an MSN prepared nurse in your specialty area? How did you acquire this core of knowledge and skills during your MSN studies? How has it influenced or changed your philosophy of nursing practice? In what ways have you been able to integrate your learning during the MSN Program into your current nursing practice?
  3. For each MSN outcome and specialty competency, reflect on which courses, assignments, and experiences helped you meet the outcome or competency. What did you learn? How have you changed and grown professionally? How has your nursing practice changed?
