Nurses Week 2020
Greetings Nursing Alumni:
You are in our hearts and we applaud you for your sacrifices. You inspire all those around you. We want you to know that we are here to support you as you face this challenge. Your stories of heroism, dedication, fear, and hope are inspiring.
As we move into Nurses Week, during this, The Year of the Nurse and Midwife, it is no small coincidence that we also celebrate the 200th birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. She was called to action at a time of great chaos and illness and managed with her small group of nurses to change the face of modern nursing and medical epidemiology.
Nursing is a profession, born out of necessity and adversity. This is a unique time in our history but we can face the challenge. It’s in our DNA, part of our foundation, our strength. There is nothing I can say or do to change what you are experiencing during this crisis, but I want you to know that the staff and I are proud of you. You represent the best of TESU. You are our heroes!
