Sigma Beta Delta
The School of Business and Management has been approved as a chapter of the international honor society, Sigma Beta Delta.
Established in 1994, Sigma Beta Delta is an honor society for students in business, management, and administration and serves institutions which offer baccalaureate and graduate degrees in business, management, and administration where the institution holds accreditation from one of the six regional accrediting bodies but not specialized accreditation in business. Thomas Edison State University chapter was established in 2009.
Students invited into this society at Thomas Edison State University must meet the following requirements:
- Students must be candidates for bachelors or masters degrees in business and management.
- Students must have completed at least 24 letter graded credits with Thomas Edison State University.
- Bachelor degree students must have a Thomas Edison State University grade point average of at least 3.5 and rank in the upper 20% of eligible candidates.
- Master degree students must have a Thomas Edison State University grade point average of at least 3.85 and rank in the upper 20% of eligible candidates.
Thomas Edison State University’s Sigma Beta Delta Chapter candidate selection is bi-annual based on the University’s Commencement certified graduation cycles. There is nothing that you need to do proactively during the candidate selection. If you meet the eligibility criteria for chapter membership you will be notified by the School of Business & Management. Candidate selection includes the following Commencement graduation cycles: December, March, June and September. First candidate selection is the combination of the December and March graduation cycles and second selection will be the combination of June and September.
