Proctor Request - Guided Study, Online, e-Pack® and TECEP®

You have two choices for taking your OL, GS, EP or TECEP® exams: online through the Online Proctor Service (OPS) or in the pen/paper format. If you prefer to take your proctored exams online using your home computer, go to ProctorU to register and schedule a test appointment. If you prefer to take your proctored exams in the pen/paper format, submit the Proctor Request Form.

If your organization has a partnering agreement with Thomas Edison State University, specific testing arrangements may exist. In those cases, please refer to your organization’s web link or office. Unless there is an agreement in place, we do not send exams to your employer.

You can take your pen/paper exams for Thomas Edison State University GS, OL, EP or TECEP® courses at any accredited college or university or at any public library that offers the service. We recommend you find a location close to your home or work so you have easy access on the day of the test. This is especially important if you are enrolled in more than one course per semester or if you are taking more than one exam.

Contact a local accredited college or university and find a full-time member of the testing office or a full-time professor or professional staff member. Adjunct and part-time professors do not qualify. Contact your local public library to find a full-time librarian. Please note that librarians at elementary and high schools do not qualify.

We do not send exams to employers, corporate training offices, supervisors, members of the clergy, family members or friends.

Thomas Edison State University reserves the right to require modification of your proposed proctoring arrangements.

The Proctor Request Form is required only if you decide to take your exams in the pen/paper format. Submit the form by the end of the first week of the semester. Pen/paper exams will be mailed to your approved proctor two weeks before the official test week. Call your proctor the week before the official test week to confirm delivery of the test and to confirm the specific test date. Never travel to your test site unless you have first confirmed the proctor’s receipt of your exam(s).

Students taking course exams online (OPS) should go to ProctorU to register and schedule a test date. Please make sure you have a reliable Internet connection and a computer with a working webcam, microphone, and speakers. Official test weeks begin on Monday and end on Sunday; test links are activated at 12:01 am on Monday and exams should be completed by 11:55 pm on Sunday

Please consult the Syllabus in your course space to verify the number of exams required for each course in which you are registered. All assignments and all examinations must be completed by the last day of the semester.

Students who cannot submit the Proctor Request Form can utilize the following: Proctor Request Form for Pen/Paper Administrations.
