Community Justice Center

The Community Justice Center (CJC) stands ready to provide advocacy before the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Social Security Administration to assist these wounded warriors in obtaining some measure of financial stability while they try to put their lives back together. This may mean representing individuals in disability proceedings, facilitating referrals to other service providers, serving as a clearinghouse for veterans, their families and service providers, or simply by keeping this issue front and center through our website and other media. No matter what our political beliefs are concerning the war, we can all come together to offer support to the men and women of our country sent to fight a new kind of war, one that has left many of them hopeless, vulnerable – but still proud. Learn more about the Community Justice Center »

Legal Services of New Jersey

Legal Services of New Jersey launched a new Veterans Legal Assistance project, to provide legal representation to eligible low-income veterans with VA disability compensation and pension claims, and telephone advice in most other veterans matters.

Those seeking assistance from the veterans legal assistance project should call LSNJ's toll-free, statewide legal hotline 1-888-LSNJ-LAW (1-888-576-5529). Those outside New Jersey should call (732) 572-9100 and ask to be transferred to the hotline.

Services are provided at no charge, but all clients must be financially eligible (below 200% of the federal poverty level) and representation is not guaranteed. Learn more about the Legal Services of New Jersey »
