Family Assistance Center (FAC)

The National Guard Family Programs Office has established regional Family Assistance Centers (FACs) to support all military families specifically during times of deployment and separation. The centers are available to support deployed and military component family members. Family Assistance Centers serve as the point of contact for help with any type of problem you or your family may have. VFW National Home for Children

The National Home's Military Family Program assists the children, or spouses with children of active-duty military, National Guard and Reserves during a period of deployment. If the "family plan" falls through, the National Home for Children can provide a temporary safe, secure and loving home for children or spouses with children on its village-like campus of homes during the deployment.

Children of Military Service Members Resource Guide

A new children's resource is available for parents, other family members and health care providers. Developed by DCoE, the guide is a quick reference tool that addresses the mental and emotional well-being of military children. Age-appropriate resources listed in the guide include books, films, websites, and social media support groups on topics such as: deployment; homecoming; grief; mental and emotional health; and moving. Access the guide »

Blue Star Family Support Program

A Blue Star Service Banner displayed in the window of a home is an American tradition. The banner lets others know that someone in the home is proudly serving the U.S. Armed Forces. New Army Transition Access Available:

ACAP Express is your new fast access to the Army's transition program (ACAP). You can use ACAP Express to register for pre-separation counseling, schedule a Transition Assistance Program (TAP) employment workshop, schedule Veterans Administration (VA) briefings, learn how to find a job, or connect with ACAP employment professionals for advice and support.
