How to Get Started

  1. Select a Degree

    Learn how Study.com courses can transfer into a bachelor’s degree at Thomas Edison State University. You may select any degree program offered by the University. Explore the links below to see how Study.com courses transfer into two of our most popular bachelor’s degree programs:

    • BA degree: Liberal Studies
    • BS in Business Administration degree: General Management

  2. Make a Plan + Start Taking Study.com courses

    Contact a Study.com success coach to create a degree plan that meets your unique needs and goals.  This process will include reviewing any transfer credits you may have from regionally accredited colleges and universities that can be applied to your degree at Thomas Edison State University and determining the appropriate Study.com courses to take for your degree.

  3. Put Your Plan into Action:  Apply + Transfer Your Credit

    Once you have taken most or all of your Study.com courses, put your Study.com degree plan into action and apply to Thomas Edison State University.

To apply, follow these instructions before you Start Your Application.

Select the “Create a New Student Profile” link and provide your contact information

Select “TESU Online Application” to complete the process

  • IMPORTANT:  In the Partner Affiliation section of the application, select Study.com from the drop down menu

Submit Transcripts at get your academic evaluation.

  • IMPORTANT:  Make sure your Study.com courses are sent to the University via an official Study.com transcript
  • Also include transfer credits earned at other regionally accredited schools, military and professional training (JST, ACE transcripts), CLEP and DSST scores, etc.  Learn more about submitting these items »

What is a TESU Academic Evaluation?

Your official TESU academic evaluation tells you how your transfer credits will be applied to your degree, how many credits you will need to finish your degree and which courses/credits you still need to complete to earn your degree.  Learn more »
