Tuition Rate Change

Effective July 1, 2020, new students will no longer be accepted into the partnership with the tuition reduction benefit. All transcripts verifying a successfully completed course prior to June 30, 2020, must be received no later than September 30, 2020, in order to receive the benefit. For students currently enrolled in a course at the time of application, TESU must receive all current enrollment verifications by June 30, 2020. Providing the student satisfies verification, and the student’s account maintains continuous active enrollment in the University by taking at least 3 SH of TESU credit each 12 month period, the student will continue to receive the partnership’s tuition reduction.

Thomas Edison State University has partnered with, an online learning platform, to provide you with a flexible, affordable pathway to finishing your degree. Here is how it works:

  1. Take online courses with + pass proctored finals
  2. Transfer your college classes to Thomas Edison and finish your remaining credits to earn your degree. Transcripts for courses will need to come directly from to Thomas Edison for an applicant to be coded as a student, and receive the partnership benefits. Without the transcript, a general Thomas Edison student coding will be applied.

Yes. students can save on TESU tuition in the following ways:

  • Tuition reduction on in-state pricing for both Per-Credit ($379 /credit)
  • In-state pricing for the Residency Fee Waiver ($2,800)

With a College Accelerator membership, you can take’s online courses at your own pace and access those courses on any device iOS and Android mobile apps. The flexible, online platform makes it easier for you to fit earning college credit into your busy schedule. courses feature quizzes that will test your knowledge leading up to the final exam. You can also get assistance from expert instructors on topics you need help with. Proctored final exams can be taken from the comfort of your home. Once you have passed a course, it can be transferred to Thomas Edison State University (via a transcript).  Watch the video below for more information.

All courses are self-paced and allow you to make progress when it is convenient for you. Most courses feature 5-10 minute videos that enable students to fit them into their busy schedules. Our advice is to work through the lessons at your own pace to avoid getting frustrated, and stay focused on the material you find difficult without worrying about deadlines and time constraints.


Many courses allow you to take a placement test when you start the course. These tests, which are powered by’s proprietary adaptive learning technology, enable you to skip the material you already know. This saves you time and energy to learn new material and finish the courses faster. In addition, you will be able to transfer most prior college credits from other accredited institutions and alternative credit options like CLEP exams or DSST exams.


Any student, who enrolled at Thomas Edison State University through after September 1, 2016, and is 21 years of age, is eligible for this program. will need to be identified as the 'Partner Affiliation' on the student's original application to TESU. and TESU have an exclusive partnership to make transferring credit from courses and earning a degree as seamless as possible. If you follow our degree plan guidelines, up to 90 credits will transfer and apply to a degree at Thomas Edison State University, except when you use another potential source of transfer credit duplicating a degree requirement that could be satisfied via courses. A transcript is required to verify acceptance into the partnership.
