Step 1: Initial ATI TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) Exam
All applicants are required to take the ATI TEAS Exam. Prepare for the exam by reviewing topics that you need most assistance with. Go to the ATI website to register for and schedule the exam at a convenient time and location. You can take the exam at TESU!
Required: scores of 70% or better in each subcategory (reading, math, science, and English language and usage). You are allowed to take the exam twice in order to meet the score requirement. The final TEAS Exam must be taken less than 9 months before the completed application deadline.
Step 2: Apply to the BSNA Program
Submit your application through the TESU Online App. A complete application must include the following required supporting documents:
- A current resume
- A personal statement (approximately 500 words) which includes
- Why you would like to be a nurse
- Why you should be accepted into the program
- Any other information you would like the Admissions Committee to know
- Contact information for two references (academic and/or professional)
- Official ATI TEAS Exam Score Report
- All official transcripts (from every higher education institution you have attended)
Submit your resume and personal statement.
Include contact information for your references in your application.
Submit your official transcripts to the Office of the Registrar.
Make sure to complete your application by the completed application deadline:
- May cohorts: February 1st
- September cohorts: June 1st
Step 3: Application Review Appointment
Once your application materials and transcripts have been reviewed, our Program Advisor will contact you to discuss your next steps. You may still need to complete a few requirements or you may be ready to interview with the Admissions Committee.
Step 4: Admissions Committee Review and Interview
Once your application is complete, the Admissions Committee will review your file. If you meet the requirements of the Accelerated BSN program, you will be invited to interview with the Admissions Committee.
Please note: a complete application does not guarantee you an interview invitation. Additionally, an interview does not guarantee you admission into the program.
Applications are reviewed and interviews are scheduled all year. Acceptance into a program cohort is on a first come, first serve basis. Applicants who are accepted into the program after the maximum number of cohort seats has been reached will be invited to join the next program cohort.
You may call the Office of Admissions to check on your documents/application status at (609) 777-5680.
If you are applying through NursingCAS, please follow their directions for completing the application and uploading of documents.
