ATI TEAS Exam

Applicants for the Accelerated 2nd Degree Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing program need to take the Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS®) Exam and submit a score report. the TEAS measures basic essential skills in the academic content areas of reading, mathematics, science, English, and language usage.

  • A score of 70% or higher is required overall and in all content areas in order to be considered for acceptance into the program.
  • The exam must be taken within nine months of the application deadline and is required before acceptance into the program. The applicant is allowed to take the exam twice to achieve the 70% or higher, but a wait time of 30 days is necessary after the first attempt.

In order to take the TEAS Exam, the applicant will need to make an account with ATI, and from there the applicant can register for and schedule the exam at a convenient time and location.

The score report can be ordered and sent directly from ATI when registering for the exam. Choose “Thomas Edison State U BSN” from the list of schools. A score can also be uploaded to the “Supporting Information” section of your NCAS application, or sent to supportingdocs@tesu.edu.
