Being a Social Media Ambassador
Social Media Ambassadors Role Description
Social Media Ambassadors share key messages with their social networks to promote the grassroots efforts of Thomas Edison State University. Ambassadors are instrumental in large-scale initiatives where the University aims to reach as many alumni, students and friends of the University as possible. They play an important role in generating buzz about major University campaigns while sharing their personal experiences and relevant advice through the University’s social media channels and their own networks.
We are looking for volunteers who:
- Are active social media users
- Have large networks
- Are comfortable sharing content on behalf of Thomas Edison State University
To amplify your impact through social media and promote Thomas Edison State University, Ambassadors are invited to do the following once a week in conjunction with our 1-Hour a Month volunteer initiative.
- Provide testimonials about your experience by writing reviews on the University Facebook page, Niche and Unigo. Niche and Unigo commentary can help boost the ranking of TESU with members of the military, their families and veterans.
- Spread the word by sharing, commenting and liking TESU social media posts on our Facebook page, Facebook Alumni Group, LinkedIn Page, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Snap photos of you wearing TESU gear, share your pictures on social media and tag your posts with @tesu_edu or #TESUniversity.
- Snap a photo of you studying/learning around the world or doing anything TESU related.
- Write a TESU Blog based upon your experience or advice or present webinars.
