MA in Educational Leadership Outcomes and Competencies

The Master of Arts in Educational Leadership program outcomes are aligned with the national professional standards for educational leaders (PSELS):

MAEDL 1 Collaboratively lead, design, and implement a school/district mission, vision, and process for continuous improvement that reflects a core set of values and priorities centered on the success and wellbeing of each student and adult.
MAEDL 2 Demonstrate the capacity to advocate for ethical decisions and cultivate and enact professional norms.
MAEDL 3 Develop and maintain supportive, equitable, culturally responsive, and inclusive school/district cultures.
MAEDL 4 Evaluate, develop, and implement coherent systems of curriculum, instruction, data systems, supports, and assessment that support the success and wellbeing of each student.
MAEDL 5 Engage families, community, and school personnel to strengthen student learning, support school/district improvement, and advocate for the needs of their district, school, and community.
MAEDL 6 Develop school/district plans and systems that are data-informed, equitable, and aligned with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
MAEDL 7 Build a collaborative professional culture using systems of staff supervision, evaluation, support, and professional learning.
