Master of Science in Accounting

The Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) is an online degree program designed to prepare students aspiring to become certified public accounts (CPA). The program’s graduates can fill accounting and taxation roles in industry, private enterprise and federal, state and local government. The degree is a 30-credit program aligned with the sections of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)’s Uniform CPA Examinations Blueprints with provides a framework for the CPA Exam.

Courses and Timeline

The MSA degree is composed of ten 3 credit courses (30 credit) program. The seven courses (21 credits) are identified as Core Courses. The remaining three 3 credit course (9 credits) are identified as Elective Courses. The degree can be completed in 12 months by enrolling in two 3 credit courses in consecutive 8-week terms. A second option is to enroll in one 3-credit course in consecutive 8-week terms completing the 10 courses in 20 months.
