Network Management

The Network Management area of study provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to manage large-scale computer networks. Graduates will be prepared to coordinate the vast array of software applications, hardware components and personnel that make up large scale networks.

Network Management Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of the MS in IT area of study in Network Management, students will be able to:

  1. Use network design techniques to develop large-scale enterprise network architectures that integrate an organization?s business processes with its IT infrastructure.
  2. Analyze network performance using standard performance metrics, develop system benchmarks, and make recommendations for improving system efficiencies.
  3. Evaluate and develop network contingency and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  4. Evaluate existing and new technology and make recommendations that support the organization’s strategic plan.
