Welcome New Jersey Community College Students

With one of the most generous transfer credit policies in higher education, degree completion is easy with our convenient online courses, prior learning assessment options, and college level testing programs; all delivered to you – on your schedule.


  1. We Value You and Your Academic History As a New Jersey state university, we value your community college academic experience. We will accept up to 80 credits from any regionally accredited community college toward your degree requirements.
    Did you also attend a four-year institution in the past?
    We will accept an unlimited number of credits from any regionally accredited four-year college.
    Have you served in the military?
    Maybe you have completed some municipal or corporate training. You may be able to earn credit for those experiences, too.

    1. Our online application is quick and easy to complete. There is a $75 non-refundable application fee.
    2. You need to order your official copies of our transcripts (Yes, we need official copies from each institution you attended)
    3. Ensure you are completing and submitting the Federal Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA) forms

  4. Ready to Register Now? We offer 12 terms a year, so you will never need to wait to get started! In fact, as soon as you apply and are admitted, you can register for our institutionally required course TES-100. It provides you with a solid foundation of all of the services and academic possibilities available to you as a student at Thomas Edison State University.
