e-Pack® Pilot Program

In the April 2017 term, the University began piloting a new e-Pack® course format for Principles of Statistics (STA-201) that created a more interactive experience for students who took the e-Pack® version of the course.

The new format is similar to existing e-Pack® courses, which are centered around a series of online quizzes that help students prepare for a comprehensive final exam, but also contains new features that make the course more engaging, including:

  • adaptive technology that makes the course more intuitive for students, catering to their learning needs and providing feedback during course activities based on their progress
  • online text that is available directly in the course, so students do not have go to an outside vendor to acquire the textbook
  • online courses that are organized by sections and chapters covered in the text and materials, which are fully integrated into the course and its activities

The University offered the first 25 students who registered for the course the STA-201 online textbook at no cost. Like all e-Pack® courses, the new format is designed for independent learners who do not require interactions with a mentor or other students.

Curious about what you will encounter in the new course? Test drive an adaptive learning activity similar to the online quiz modules found in the new e-Pack® course.

Register today for the STA-201 course by selecting “e-Pack®” in the Study Methods section. If you are not sure this e-Pack® course will fit into your degree program, contact an academic advisor.
