How to Register for Undergraduate Courses or TECEP®: Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Select a course or TECEP®Enrolled Thomas Edison State University students who need help determining whether a particular course or TECEP® exam fits their degree requirements, can contact an academic advisor. Students enrolled in another institution should check with that institution to make sure the course fits their degree requirements.
  2. Register for the courses or TECEP® exam during scheduled registration sessions.  Students payment method determines how they may register. Students can check their current course schedule via Student Self Service.

  3. Receive a registration confirmation from Thomas Edison State University by email.
  4. If students have registered for a course, they may purchase their course materials from any available source after they receive confirmation of course registration. For students' convenience, all materials required for their courses are available from the University bookstore. To review the materials needed for their course(s) or TECEP® exams, students go to the textbook supplier online and follow these instructions:
    1. Click “Let's Get Started;”
    2. Select the term, program and course, or TECEP® exam and then click “View Your Materials;”
    3. A list of materials will appear, and students will see information regarding the book, including title, edition, and ISBN number with option to purchase.
       
    Course materials and textbook costs are separate. Students will find the Course Manual, syllabus and Course Calendar online once the semester begins. Access information to courses will be emailed to OL, GS, EP, PA, NU, and NG students with their registration confirmation.
  5. Start course work on the term start date as outlined in the academic calendar. Students should contact their mentor the first week. Arrange for a proctor during the first week.
  6. Students who have registered for a TECEP® exam, visit TECEP® Scheduling Options or refer to the Testing and Test Administration section of this Catalog.

For payment made by credit card, military tuition assistance, and Thomas Edison State University approved financial aid award letter:

For payment made by corporate vouchers and checks

Students must mail their completed registration forms and check payments, made payable to "Thomas Edison State University," together. Students using a corporate voucher should use our corporate voucher form to upload the corporate voucher and then register online. If the student's company requires partial student payment, make sure the payment is provided to the Office of Student Financial Accounts by calling 609-984-4099 or mailing in the partial payment to the University.
